Western Australia property stamp duty increase to 11% from 2019
On January 1, 2019, the purchase of residential homes in Western Australia from “overseas buyers” will be subject to an additional 7% surcharge, plus the existing 4%, stamp duty will be as high as 11%! Western Australian government raised the stamp duty on overseas purchases from 4% to 7%
